Music Career Development

2017 & 2019

Live Performances

As part of his studies of Complementary Piano with Maestro Juan Nicolás Morales, Camilo performed the Prelude and Fugue No. 1 in C Major of JS Bach, in the Complementary Piano Students Concert held in the Ernesto Martin Hall of the University of the Andes.

Similarly, in the Chair of Complementary Organ under the guidance of Master Vincent Heitzer, Camilo interpreted the Small Prelude & Fugue for Organ in G Minor BWV 556 by JS Bach within the concert cycle "Armonia Cathedralis" in the Tubular Organ of the Primada Cathedral from Colombia.

As a chorus singer of the Symphonic Choir of the University of the Andes, Camilo has sung on the string of the Basses: Haendel's Messiah, The Music Makers of Elgar, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Bernstein's Chichester's Psalms, Boccherini's Requiem and Mozart's Requiem. On the Tenors' strong Camilo has sung: Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Vivaldi's Kyrie and Francesco Lotti's Crucifixus.

June 2016 - Present

Children and Youth Music Training Program of the Andes 

Because within his passions, the Teaching is emerging as a strong branch, Camilo begins to work as a Substitute Professor in the role of Administrative Assistant of the Children's and Youth Musical Training Program of the Andes (PIJ). After two years of experience, Camilo begins to work as a Music Teacher of the PIJ taking charge of the Musical Appreciation I, II and IV courses (Instrumentation, Morphology and Advance Morphology respectively), Sight-reading Workshop for Children II and Sight-reading Workshop for Youth V (Ear Training).

2015 - 2020

B.A. in Music Composition for Film & Media, University of the Andes

Camilo enters to the Undergraduate Program of the Department of Music of the Universidad de los Andes as winner of the "I Want to Study Scale" Scholarship. Motivated by His great passion for the seventh art, Camilo chooses the Emphasis on Composition for Film & Media, in which he takes Composition classes with Masters Pedro Felipe Ramírez, Jorge García Moncada and Santiago Lozano Mancera.

April 2011 - March 2014

Independent Teaching

As a complement to his undergraduate studies in different disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Camilo gave private lessons of Piano and Music Theory to children in northern Bogotá.

2009

Music Conservatory,

National University of Colombia

As a youth he enters the Basic Program of the Music Conservatory of the National University fo Colombia in PIano Emphasis. There he takes Leveling in Theory with Master James Fernández, Piano with Master Esteban Bravo and Choir with Master Elsa Gutiérrez. In addition to this studies, he take private piano lessons during his childhood with Maestra Ximena Molina.

He began His studies at the National Pedagogical Institute at the age of 4 years. Thanks to the specialized approach of the school, he received music and music theory classes from early years, as well as had the opportunity to participate in the orchestra of the school. Due to his multifaceted development he graduated with Emphasis in Mathematics.
